Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Generalist Paralegal with extensive litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. You will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Support:
• Manage all aspects of complex litigation cases from inception through trial, including discovery, case management, and document preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is current and properly filed.
• Prepare case chronologies, exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, court filings (state and federal), and coordinating witness appearances.
• Handle e-filing procedures in various courts.
Discovery & Document Management:
• Coordinate the discovery process, including document requests, interrogatories, and requests for admission.
• Manage electronic discovery (eDiscovery) and maintain databases using document management software.
• Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege, assisting with production as needed.
Administrative Support:
• Prepare and format legal correspondence, reports, and memoranda.
• Coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as time entry, client billing, and organizing client files.
Entity Support:
• Maintain and update corporate records, filings, and compliance documents for various entities.
• Assist with entity formation, dissolution, and regulatory filings.
Contract Management:
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring proper approvals and signatures.
• Track contract deadlines, renewals, and terms, ensuring timely action.
• Maintain organized contract databases and repositories.
Qualifications:
• Paralegal certification or degree in legal studies required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on litigation.
• Extensive experience in managing complex litigation cases from discovery through trial.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms, litigation support software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with e-filing systems and procedures in both state and federal courts.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
